A Different Booklist’s reading list for Black History Month

This #BlackHistoryMonth, read, the classic stories and voices – Angela Davis, Malcolm X, MLK – but don’t overlook local examples of Black resistance and brilliance that led to gains here, in this country. Such stories are recounted in Welcome to Blackhurst and books like Bromley, Tireless Champion for Just Causes; They Call Me George by Cecil Foster, Until We Are Free by Diverlus et al., which teach us how to push for a more inclusive and just Canada.
