BIA Parkettes win City of Toronto’s Urban Design Award of Excellence

We are absolutely thrilled to share that the Bloor Annex BIA Parkettes were honoured with the 2023 Toronto Urban Design Award of Excellence for Small Open Spaces!

Designed by dtah, the parkettes are located at 320 Robert St., 290 Major St., 306 Brunswick Ave., and 2 Howland Ave. The BIA is proud to have partnered with DTAH to create these public spaces that have become places of celebration, home to art activations, a habitat for pollinators, and just general peaceful oases for our community to enjoy. 

About the Awards:
Every other year, the City of Toronto holds Urban Design Awards to acknowledge the significant contribution that architects, landscape architects, urban designers, artists, design students, and city builders make to the look and livability of our city. The awards competition offers the opportunity to receive city-wide recognition from a jury of urban visionaries.
