The Bloor Annex BIA’s Summer Music Series is back for its third year!

All summer long, join us every Friday from 6 – 8 pm, Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm, and Sunday from 12 – 2 pm for live music by local artists on the public stage located on the north east corner of Bloor St. and Brunswick Ave.

ABOUT: Toronto-based artist Olive Joy makes heartfelt alternative folk music for the lover and inner child in us all. A multi-instrumentalist (accordion, piano, guitar, ukulele), singer, and songwriter, Olive explores themes of post-traumatic growth, relationships, and the healing power of nature. 
They have spent over a decade performing in Toronto and beyond (Tranzac Club, Toronto Pride, Gladstone Hotel). Olive’s debut EP is set for release in late 2026.

Ella Güdel is an indie folk singer-songwriter, producer, and acoustic guitarist based in Toronto. Her music is grounded and intimate, drawing inspiration from artists like Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Laura Marling. 
Ella has played shows across Toronto, and at events such as Winnipeg Folk Festival (Young Performers Program 2026), Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival (Youth Discoveries 2025), and Toronto Folk Festival. 

Olive and Ella will be joining forces to combine their musical talents, as well as showcasing some solo work.

ABOUT: Juno award winning international touring artist Richard Underhill is one of Canada’s most distinctive jazz performers. His wonderfully melodic alto sax playing, accomplished composing and arranging skills and in-from-the-outside soloing have garnered him significant national acclaim. Richard won a 2003 Juno Award for his jazz debut Tales from the Blue Lounge, was nominated for the Prix du Jazz at the 2003 Montreal Jazz Festival and won the prestigious Roy Thomson Hall Award of Recognition presented by the Toronto Arts Council Foundation in 2008.

ABOUT: Trash Panda Brass is a Toronto-based queer brass band bringing joy, community, and high-energy music to streets and stages since 2022. Known for their unique arrangements of iconic queer hits, they have been featured on the cover of The WholeNote magazine and have performed at TD Jazz Fest, the Canadian National Exhibition (Midway Stage), and Cultivate Festival. In addition to performing, they have appeared as guest panelists at Queen’s University and Wilfrid Laurier University, speaking on queer representation in post-secondary music. In 2023, they released their debut EP, Opposable Thumbs. Fiercely community-oriented, Trash Panda Brass is here and proud to be queer!
