Métis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project has inspired three Bloor Street churches to create their own REDress exhibitions.
The REDress Project was created to bring public attention to the issue of MMIWG -Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Black collected red dresses for an installation in public spaces to honour the over 1200 MMIWG in Canada.
Currently participating are Bloor Street United Church, Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church and Church of the Redeemer.
The exhibitions will be on display throughout the summer.
